Robert Slater is a Welsh writer based in London.
​
He studied at Aberystwyth University, graduating with a BA in English & Creative Writing, and an MA in Creative Writing. He then went on to pursue a career in writing. He's written for several well-known websites, including Entertainment Daily and Doctor Who Online.
​
In 2020, he wrote an episode of Sali Mali, a Welsh-language animated TV show for preschool children. His episode, Toriad Gwawr, aired on S4C in January 2021 and is still available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
​
Since 2019, he has been writing short plays and sketches that have been performed at several London theatres, including Southwark Playhouse, Pleasance Theatre, Cervantes Theatre, Park Theatre, and the Bread & Roses Theatre.
​
He is currently in the process of getting his first full-length play, Death and the Cat, up on stage. He is also working towards having his first novel published.
​
Rob is in the Director's Cut Theatre Company writing group and is undertaking acting classes.
​
Additionally, Rob writes short, bespoke scenes for actor's showreels.
